7 days. 7 days until Christmas. Thank the Lord I am done with my Christmas shopping. We really need to go to Costco for supplies but I am avoiding that place like the plague until December 27th.
Here’s what fun things we were up to last week!
Day 345: We went to see Casper Babypants at the library! If you don’t know who Casper Babypants is, he’s the lead singer of the Presidents of the United States of America (you know, the band that sang “Lump” and “Millions of Peaches”). He’s a Seattle native and now writes and sings children’s songs and visits a lot of the public libraries in our area. His wife writes and illustrates children’s books as well so we have a lot of his music and her books.
Day 346: Santa photos! She did really well. She didn’t necessarily want to look at Santa too much, but she was well behaved, didn’t cry and told him what she wanted for Christmas (a doll). We got that covered. 🙂
Day 347: Saturday Huebie and I finished our Christmas shopping. My parents came to watch baby girl so we could do our shopping for her. Then we went to dim sum. Oh man I love dim sum.
Day 348: Half time baking extravaganza! We made mint chocolate chip cookies and a snickerdoodle bundt cake that was a hit at work. And Little A got her hands on the mixing paddle and went to town. And the Hawks won. It was a good day.
Day 349: Santa photo success! I mean, I swear she looks like a 5 year old in this photo. My boss said, “She’s too pretty.” I do tend to agree that she’s darn pretty. 🙂
Day 350: This really is a horrible photo. Sorry. Our phones rock when you have lots of light, but not so much when it’s a bit dark. But Huebie and I spent some quality time together the other evening. He’s been working on the sleds most evenings after we put Little A to bed, so we rarely just hang out and have time for us. It was nice.
Day 351: Little A’s preschool went Christmas caroling yesterday! It was so cute! She actually didn’t really sing, just stood there and tried to get her little friend to hold her hand, but she looked adorable doing it. 🙂
And now I’m pooped. We are in a very trying time with baby girl. Her listening skills have been non-existent lately and it is very trying on our nerves. So far, 3 is way harder than 2 was. Don’t let that sweet face fool you folks, when girlfriend doesn’t get her way it’s game on.
Not sure if I’ll have a Friday post or not this week so if I don’t, have a great weekend friends!
I’m so glad she wasn’t too scared of santa and nice to know you have her wishlist doll item covered!!! My niece is the same way…or was the same way when she was 3 (she’s 4 now) and i’m pretty sure she’s just testing her boundaries…you know since I have no children of my own LOL!! 🙂 xo, Biana – BlovedBoston
HAHA! I’m sure you’re right. It’s so hard when you’re in the moment. She can be so sweet one minute then a total crazy person the next. *sigh* I know we’ll get through it.
Little A definitely is pretty 🙂 Y’all better watch out when she’s a teenager! I love the tongue sticking out during her caroling…so cute. Is she still asking about the owl?? :-p
She’s not asking about that owl, but we saw one that the Christian bookstore last night that she about lost her mind over when she didn’t get it right then. Kellen ended up sneak getting it for her for Christmas, but she was so upset she didn’t get it last night.
Little A really does seem older. She is such a doll!
Santa, baking, and and caroling?! Sounds like the best week.
She does, doesn’t she?! It was a good week, minus the winning and screaming. 🙂
I bet it was too cute watching them carol 🙂 She is just adorable!
It was really cute. They all sang and did some little moves. 3 and 4 year olds are the cutest!
She is very pretty! I love that picture of her caroling. 🙂
Thanks Jenny. She was a total goof caroling. She actually didn’t even really sing, just did a few movements. HAHA!
cutest family EVER. so glad I found your blog!!
Aw thanks so much Kelli! I love our little family. 🙂
Awww, I love all the fun and festive goodness here!
Yay for getting that Christmas shopping done. I LOVE DIM SUM! Now I’m craving it like the dickens. Mmmmmm. So good.
It’s always nice to get some quality time with the hubs hey?
Happy Thursday! I can’t believe we’re a week away from Christmas.
xoxo
Yes! Dim Sum is the best!! We used to go once a week but had to cut. So good!
It was nice to have quality time. Especially now around the holidays. We’re both such busy people.
xoxo
I can’t believe Christmas is a week away. Wow! Can we just talk about how freaking cute Little A is in her Seahawks jersey?! What a doll!! Glad she wasn’t too scared of Santa! Man, you’re in trouble when she gets older! She’s just too cute!

I know. I mean, I thought it was Easter like 2 months ago. So crazy!
Aw thanks. She loves her Earl Thomas jersey. 🙂 And yes, my hubby is already figuring out how to keep the boys at bay. 😉
She is so gorgeous!!!! Can I get those little white furry boots she is wearing in my size please? 🙂
Aw thanks girl! I LOVE her boots. So glad she likes them too. They are my favorite shoe she has, by far.
Love that y’all go Christmas shopping together!!!! And, her preschool dance! How cute! PS do you have the iphone 6? If so, I agree, when the lighting is not good, the picture are AWFUL!
I actually have a Samsung S5. The camera is good, but in low light it’s terrible! So frustrating.
That has to be one of the cutest little children santa pictures ever!
Aw, thanks so much! She looks so grown up!
