March Favorites

April 1, 2015

Happy Wednesday friends!  Seriously, it’s April 1st?  I cannot believe March is over.  Spring is in full swing here in the PNW with occasional rain and thunderstorms, or like yesterday you get some sunshine in there as well.  We’ve really had great weather this year so far!

Today I’m sharing some of my favorite things from March, and linking up with Kelli and Mia!

FAVORITE WORKOUT

This 800 calorie burn workout is awesome!  I love body weight workouts and this reminds me of my boot camp days. No equipment needed so no excuses!  You can do this anywhere!  I’m not gonna lie, it’s a killer and a bit awkward at times since she’s doing it with you (and her timer is annoying), but it will get you sweating and torching those calories.  Great preparation for summer!

FAVORITE BEAUTY PRODUCT

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m not a big cosmetic girl.  I want to be, but I was never taught how to do my makeup so I’ve always just done the bare minimum.  But Meg convinced me I needed an eyebrow gel, so I got the NYX Control Freak eyebrow gel in clear last month at Target and I’m really liking it!  Maybe soon I’ll venture into filling my eyebrows in.  🙂

FAVORITE MEAL

In preparation for summer and bathing suit weather, I’m embracing spinach salads again!  Spinach salads are actually my favorite type of salad.  Add some chicken, a bit of cheese and a light dressing and that can sustain me for lunch for weeks.  And I don’t feel gross after I eat it.

FAVORITE ESSENTIAL OIL

I’ve never been a big fan of the lemon in my water.  I’ll do it, but it’s not my favorite.  Recently I’ve been putting Cirtus Fresh essential oil in my water and really like it!  It’s a blend of orange, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, mandarin and spearmint.  To me it tastes better than lemon water and you still get some great detoxing properties and a refreshing drink.

FAVORITE MOMENT

This poor little bug has been so sick lately.  She just can’t seem to get to 100%.  Darn preschool!  But along with the sickness comes being super cuddly and sweet.  She is saying more often than ever before, “Mama, I love you so much.  Daddy, I love you so much.”  It is just so sweet.  She’ll run up and give hugs and just say how much she loves us, over and over.  It’s the best feeling in the world!

Aww I hope Little A starts feeling better soon, but so sweet that you guys are getting a little extra love from her. I looove fruit in my salads and I’m excited for spring/summer so we can start buying strawberries again without them being really poor quality and/or super expensive.

So sorry she has been so sick!!! I LOVE Citrus Fresh in my water, yum yum!!!!

I can’t imagine burning 800 calories in one workout. That is nuts!! It makes me wonder how they come up with that count?

PS I have never tried eyebrow gel? Hmmmm!

I do wonder about the calorie count too, but our trainer in boot camp said we could burn up to that amount or more during our boot camp classes! Craziness!
I’m liking the gel actually! It’s like a mascara but clear. Just keeps the brows in place. 🙂

I love love love spinach ones! I’ve also been doing Citrus Fresh in my water and I’m loving it too! I alternate between that, lemon and then grapefruit and lime 🙂 Aww…sweet Little A…I like that she tells y’all she loves you so much!

That salad looks delicious!! Yum! So sorry to hear that your little sweetie pie has been sick! I’ll pray for her this morning (and you, too!) <3 When kids are sick it sure does break a mama's heart. 🙁 Glad you're soaking up some extra snuggles though. 🙂

That workout… I. MUST. TRY. You’ve got me scared but it sounds awesome. I mean… 800 calories?! Yes please!

We had salad bar for dinner tonight (it’s everyone’s second favourite meal). I put out cukes, tomatoes, celery, shaved carrot, homemade croutons, and orange peppers. Everyone scoops what they want on top of their baby kale leaves. It’s awesome.

I love the looks of your salad.

I hope Little A recovers for Easter. Poor kiddo.

    Wishing you a lovely evening.
    xoxo

Sorry your little one doesn’t feel well. xoxo to her!! I hate when our babies get sick! That salad is right up my alley! I love spinach and I have it every day. That salad looks perfect. I will have to check out that work out. I have had a migraine the last 24 hours and some, so I missed my work out the past couple of days. Augh. Oh well, new day. 😉 I hope that you and yours’ has a beautiful, happy and blessed Easter Tiffany!! xoxo

Awww I hate that Little A hasn’t been feeling well. I guess the positive is that she’s building up a great immune system! I would love to experience spring in the PNW, it sounds amazing. I pinned that workout, thanks for sharing it! I’ve actually only had eyebrow gel once in my life, I should try it again! Good to know you like that one. I can’t believe it’s already April, I hope you guys have a great month!! xo
