Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a lovely first weekend of fall! It is officially fall here in Seattle: rain, wind, cold temps. That just means more time to cuddle in front of the fire (my favorite).
So before I get into my Pinterest inspired outfit, I want you guys to make sure you head over to Pinterest Told Me To and read about the wonderful contest Sheaffer is holding today for mom’s of special needs children. If you have a special needs child go and enter to win a $500 Loft gift card! If you don’t, but you know someone who does get them to go over and enter! If you don’t fit into either of those categories, go read her post anyways; it’s really inspiring. But then remember to come back here and read the rest of today’s post!
I’ve been debating whether to post a Pinterest inspired outfit for a few months now. Pinterest is a great source for styling and finding new ways to wear what you already have in your closet. I’m thinking about doing a once a month Pinspired post. What do you guys think?
So when I saw this picture on Pinterest,
I knew I already had all these items in my closet and could easily recreate this super cute, super stylish outfit.
So here’s what I came up with (pardon the terrible quality of pictures. We don’t have a good full length mirror in our house and my phone is on it’s last leg).
I had just received my new leopard flats earlier in the week and I love them. Although I think I may exchange them for the square toe version. I think I could dress them up more for work.
Scarf: from India courtesy of Huebie. I like this bright green infinity scarf from Nordstrom. It would go really well with this outfit.
Sweater: Banana Republic like 3 or 4 years ago. Similar 3/4 sleeve one HERE.
T-shirt: Banana Republic from last season. Similar options HERE and HERE.
Jeans: Nordstrom (these are the jeans I’ve talked about HERE and HERE).
So, what do you think? Is this something you’d wear? Do you like my idea of a montly Pinterest inspired outfit?
