Well hello Monday! I had an awesome weekend celebrating one of my best friends and her bun in the oven. I can’t wait for baby girl to make her appearance in March. I also did some more work on the office organizing project, but I’m now in need of some bins for Little A’s baby clothes so I’m feeling a bit stalled at the moment with the room’s progress. I’m considering going back through all her other baby clothes and getting rid of more stuff so we don’t just add another bin for every size she outgrows. I think we already have 5 or 6 storage bins full…..eek!
This Sunday is Super Bowl XLIX!!! That would be Super Bowl 49 for those not familiar with Roman numerals over 10. 🙂
We will be in Phoenix for the game (yeah buddy!), but if we weren’t, we would be at one of the many Super Bowl parties that will be happening here in Seattle. Or hosting our own. And 2 keys to a good Super Bowl party are 1) Good drinks, and 2) Good food.
I love food. Like I really, really love food. And I really, really love football food.
I’m not big on anything too over the top. I like simple, classic recipes, sometimes with a twist.
Here is a compilation of some really great game day recipes. All are easy, quick and fabulous for crowds, big and small.
Skinny buffalo chicken dip // Pigs in a blanket // Cheesey Chili dip // Whiskey meatballs
Spinach artichoke dip // Bacon wrapped smokies // Crescent pepperoni roll-ups
Colored Candy Popcorn // Buffalo chicken crescent ring // Honey BBQ wings
I had to throw the Beast Mode Candy Popcorn in there for our boy Marshawn Lynch, but you could use it for any team by switching up the colors (if you aren’t familiar with Marshawn, he’s our running back and we call him Beast Mode because he is literally like a beast on the field. He also really loves Skittles and eats them on the sidelines of every game).
It’s going to be a short week for me since we leave Thursday morning for Phoenix, but I’ll have a few posts for you early this week.
Now, to start packing! Enjoy your Monday!
This is some of the best kind of junk/comfort food! The pigs in a blanket footballs are so cute!
