Happy Friday friends! I’m so ready for this weekend. I have a baby shower tomorrow afternoon for one of my best friends and Sunday we’ll be working on some of our organization projects, and getting ready for our trip to Phoenix for the Super Bowl next weekend!
This week’s favorites are just a random mix of things for the last few weeks. So really, just the usual.
Let’s get to it shall we!
1. Dowton Abbey
I finally jumped on the Downton Abbey train. Usually it takes me a few episodes to get into a show, but after the first episode of Downton Abbey, I was hooked. I’m only a few episodes in but I’m loving the show.
2. Serial Podcast
I also finally jumped on the Serial bandwagon and it is really awesome. Like, I listened to 2 or 3 episodes at work this week, when I should have been doing something else. Because you really can’t multitask all that much listening to this show.

4. Has anyone read The 4-Hour Body? My hubby has read it a few times and is all about this cold shower thing Tim Ferriss talks about. Basically he says that standing under cold water for 5-10 minutes cools your body so fast that your body has to work much harder to heat itself back up. There’s more to it than that, but now every evening my husband is in the shower huffing and puffing while he freezes his a** off in the shower. The first few days a multitude of profane words were coming from the bathroom the whole time. Now that he’s a few weeks in, he’s into pep talking, and sometimes shaming, his body parts. “You like that arm? Come on!” “Take that thigh!” It’s rather…..sigh….I don’t even know. But I suppose it works for him.
5. If you didn’t see my post last Friday, I shared 5 essential oils for weight loss. For me, it’s all about controlling the cravings.
