Style Inspiration

January 22, 2015

As I look back on my many looks over the years, one thing always sticks out in my mind: simplicity.  I’m a girl that is all about the basics, nothing too flashy or over the top, not a lot of prints or patterns.  I like classic pieces that will last for years, and my closet proves that (I have pieces from college that I still wear).

As a blogger, fashion is everywhere.  I love finding new fashion bloggers to follow and gain inspiration from.  But I also have some favorite celebrities that I take inspiration from in their every day looks.

Kate Middleton

Kate’s style is by far my favorite celebrity style.  She proves to us that skinny jeans, wedges and a blazer are always a good choice.  While you won’t find me wearing dress suits or fancy hats with feathers, her every day looks and more semi-formal looks, as well as her more “Hollywood” looks, are right up my alley.  Plus she is just adorable to boot!

Blake Lively

I absolutely adore Blake Lively.  I want us to be BFFs with her and Ryan.  Not only do I want her hair, I also want her chic look.  Even pregnant her style was effortless.  I’m not a fan of an outfit that looks like it took hours to put together and Blake always looks so polished and not too overdone.

Lauren Conrad

I’ve loved Lauren since her days on the OC.  She just seems like a sweet girl.  And her unforced, natural style is always a source of inspiration for me. Her everyday looks are by far my favorite; I could definitely put some of her outfits together with the pieces I have in my closet.

Question of the day: Where do you find style inspiration?  Do you have any favorite celebrities who’s styles you really admire?

One of the reasons that I love your blog is that I always feel
like I am walking and window shopping with you! 🙂 I adore Kate! I used to love Princess Diana too. It was and is fun to see what they wore / wear. The Royal life is intriguing in a lot of ways, not all, but a lot. Blake always looks beautiful. She shines!! And Lauren has such great style and I loooooove her website and Instagram!! So girlie and fun!!!! I left you two other comments on your previous blog posts too. One was long, I hope spam didn’t get it, ha!! xoxo 🙂

I’m right there with you, I love simplicity! You picked some gorgeous photos of all three of these women, I love their style too. I’ve always felt like less is more and definitely love the classic looks.

I’m totally a less is more girl. I’m not big on over the top looks. I don’t know, maybe I’m boring, haha! But I just like simplicity. 🙂

I’d say my style is identical to yours! I prefer classic styles, quality over quantity and solids. Sometimes I’ll venture out and wear a stripe or polka-dot top. I do like to add some color with scarves though. I like to find fashion inspiration on Pinterest. It’s really helped me to cut back on shopping because it gives me new ideas so I can shop my own closet.
