I can’t believe we are 5 days away from 2014! You guys, where did the year go?! I know I say that every year, but it seems to go by faster as I get older.
Looking back on this first year of blogging I have to say it was a crazy one. It had it’s highs and lows, but all-in-all it was a really great year for me and I learned so much.
Here are some of my favorite (and most popular) posts from 2013.
The most popular post was my inspiration for our Playroom Renovation. This is #1 on my priority list for 2014 and I’m so excited to bring you all on the journey as I tackle our hot mess of a bonus room. We got paint supplies for Christmas (and guaranteed child care from the grandparents, thanks Mom & Dad!) so we will be hitting it hard once we get the room cleared out.
My favorite project of the year was the Table & Chairs I painted for Little A. This was mine when I was a little kid. I loved taking the time to look at all the little marks I made when I was young. It was a great trip down memory lane and I’m so happy with how it turned out.
I talked about Friendship, and how I feel so disconnected from many of my close girlfriends. I will say, I did try to connect more this year, but these last 2 months have been so crazy I haven’t done as well as I would have liked to. I’m hoping 2014 gives me more time to nurture those friendships I hold so dearly.
I shared some of my favorite things, including my favorite cities. I’m hoping to add to this list in 2014! (You can go HERE to see all of my favorite things.)
I gave you some yummy recipes, including my cheesy quinoa bites for those picky eaters in your family.
I shared our fall front porch with you.
We celebrated Little A’s 2nd birthday with a pink lemonade themed party!
I had my first guest post by my lovely friend Jennifer who talked about homeschooling her daughter.
And finally I took you on my journey as I trained for my first half marathon!
When I look back at all of these posts it really was a great year. I’ve met some wonderful bloggers, found some great blogs to follow, and have gained such an appreciation for my fellow bloggers who take the time to share their lives with us. Blogging really isn’t as easy as people might think it is. It takes time and dedication.
I have so many things I want to share with you in the coming year. It’s going to be a great year, I can feel it! Next week I’ll share some of the things I have planned for the year (hopefully sharing them with you will hold me accountable, ahem). I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading A Touch of Grace this year and I look forward to bringing you more great things in 2014!
What a great year Tiffany! Can’t wait to follow the playroom progress.
I just love your playroom! So beautiful! Lots of great moments here… and I’m so honoured to have been your first guest blogger.
I’m planning a “hold me accountable” post for the new year too! I can’t wait to see what you have on the agenda… and I look forward to another year of getting to know you even better!
Wishing you a lovely weekend.
xoxo
So exciting, and fabulous posts! I’m excited especially to see your craft room makeover. That’s one project I keep putting off (of many) LOL Happy New Year!!!
Congrats on your many accomplishments in 2013! Your blog may be a lot of work (all good things are) but looking over your posts, I can’t help but think what a gift it will be to your sweet girl. She will be able to look back and know how hard you work for her and how much she is loved.
May 2014 bring your family much luck, love, laughter and friendship!
Thanks Beth! You are too sweet! I keep thinking the same thing. My scrapbooking has gone by the wayside, so this is really like my online scrapbook for her 🙂
I can see how these came up as some of the favorites! I love the fall decorations, I love quinoa so that looks like a recipe I would definitely want to try and I loved following your journey for the marathon you were in. 🙂 I hope you have a wonderful New Year!
You should definitely try the quinoa recipe. My daughter loves them! Thank you for all your kind words and support this year Brittnei! I’m so glad I’ve gotten to know you.
FYI, your blog is set to no-reply, but if you go into your blogger profile (first, under your photo click the gear box and disconnect your blog from google+ if it’s connected), then click on edit profile, then make sure you have the “show my email address” box checked I can reply to you via email so you don’t have to come back to the blog to see my reply 🙂
These posts look like great posts to read. I’m going to go back and read some of them. The photos are beautiful too. I love your playroom redo. And I’ve been wanting to try a recipe similar to your cheesy quinoa bites. Gotta move that one up on the “to try” list. Wishing you the best in 2014!
Aw, thanks so much Dawn!! The quinoa bites are definitely a hit around our house 🙂
