#graceeveryday 2014 week 48 & my Christmas wish list

December 4, 2014

Last week was week 48.  We’re starting week 49 today.  That means there’s like 4 weeks left this year.  Oh my word I have a lot to do.  In a few weeks I’m going to review the goals I set for myself this year to see how I did.  I know there are some I rocked, and some I totally failed at.  We’ll see how I fair next week!

Day 331: Happy Thanksgiving!  I talked my whole family into going for a walk after dinner.  I was overly full and needed to burn some calories.  It didn’t really help, so I used one of my essential oils and I felt much better within 10 minutes.  But I loved getting everyone out for a walk and dusk.

Day 332: A little Black Friday shopping!  We only went to Home Goods (like I said we would) and to Bassett Furniture (for my in-laws to do some browsing).  At Home Goods Little A found this enormous puppy that she fell in love with.  This was the first time she’s cried in a long time having to put something back (she’s usually really good about giving it a kiss and setting it back on the shelf).  So my in-laws surprised her with it in the car.  Such a happy little girl with “Big Blue Puppy” as he is now named (she’s so creative, I know.)

Day 333: Our first snow!  For those of you who really know me, you know I couldn’t have been happier that we got some snow!  It was only about an inch, and lasted until yesterday at our house (which is pretty good for Seattle), but it was awesome.  And Little A loved it to.  The funny thing about this is, Kellen gave me some snowflake pajamas on Thanksgiving, and we all talked about how maybe that will make it snow.  And I did a little snow dance in my snowflake pajamas that evening.  AND IT WORKED!  I know, I’m that good. 🙂

Day 335: I missed day 334 (Sunday), but on Monday I went into a team meeting at work and another manager was there to present me with a Spirit award.  I was totally surprised and had no idea it was coming.  It was a huge honor to receive this.

Day 336: He was cold so he decided to cuddle up with Big Blue Puppy and the coziest blanket we have.  He’s been cold a lot lately and I don’t know why (he’s usually my human furnace).

Bonus photos!

RELATED  #graceeveryday2014 Week 4

Sunday Huebie made Chairlifts.  This is my favorite winter drink.  Hot cocoa, peppermint schnapps and butterscotch schnapps, with a whip cream topper.  So good!

We got Little A’s tree up in her room over the weekend as well.  I’ll post more about this next week, but this was the first evening of her having it in her room.  Such special memories with this tree.

My Christmas wish list

Even though I won’t get a single thing on this list, I thought I’d put one together anyways.  Huebie & I got ourselves a new couch and chairs a few weeks ago and figured that was our Christmas present to each other.  So this is like my ultimate gift list that I would love to get my little hands on.

Athleta Windwarrior tight // I have one pair of cold weather running tights and love them.  I am definitely due for a new pair and these look fab.  I love all of Athleta’s gear!

Kendra Scott ‘Elle’ Earrings //  Man, there are a lot of items on this list I’ve been wanting for a sweet forever.  These are another one of those.  Love the sapphire blue of these Kendra Scott drop earrings.

NingXia or Thieves starter kit // Young Living is having an additional 10% off their NingXia and Thieves premium starter kits!  The kit is already a great value, then add 10% off and you’re getting each item for between $2-$6!

PrettyFit box // This is another one of my “I’ve been wanting this for months” gifts.

K2 skiis // This is 100% a long shot gift, but I really need some skiis.  I switched from snowboarding to skiing a few years ago and have yet to get myself a pair of skiis.  I’m slightly obsessed with these K2’s.

Frye Melissa Button Boots //  I have been pining for these boots for probably 6+ months.  And they were even on sale a few weeks ago.  *sigh  Maybe some day.

Minnetonka Cally slippers //  Huebie got me slippers for Christmas last year and I still wear those babies every day.  But I am due for a new pair.  Those have seen better days.

Kelli from A Deeper Joy is here visiting this weekend (she flew in late last night) so I’ll be away from the blog most of the weekend.  But come back Monday for an awesome giveaway.  You won’t want to miss this one.

I hope everyone gets out and enjoys some holiday cheer this weekend!

  9. Carly Blogs Here says: December 5, 2014 at 3:17 pm

This is going to sound really weird, but I have a lot of holiday socks and most of them have snowflakes on them and I REFUSE to wear them before it snows (I’m not a fan), because I’m afraid it will snow. LOL. A and her blue puppy are so cute! So sweet of your parents to surprise her with it after she loved it so much! I’ve had my eye on those boots too- and the earrings are so pretty! I hope you and Kelli have a great weekend!

    • Tiffany says: December 6, 2014 at 8:15 am

Carly that is so funny! I wish you could wear your socks and it would snow here, haha! After it snowed it really warmed up and now it’s just raining.
She loves her blue puppy. She was so happy when she got it. 🙂

  10. Brittnei says: December 7, 2014 at 11:59 pm

That winter drink looks amazing! We have a Keurig and we still haven’t gotten more coffee thingys for i since we moved in our new place! What are those little cups with the coffee for you to make even called?? Hahaha! But this is making me want to get some of those so I can have like a decaf coffee or something after dinner! Which essential oil did you end up using?

    • Tiffany says: December 8, 2014 at 7:36 am

It is so good. We had another one last night. And we love our Keurig and our K-cups. 🙂 I’m partial to Starbucks of course, but there are some other good ones out there.

  11. Jessica says: December 8, 2014 at 1:53 pm

That snow looks beautiful, and that is too funny about the snowflake pajamas lol. I always feel like when I wash my car, it rains. Congrats on your award from work, that is so awesome! And you are so lucky getting to meet and hang out with another blogger, I hope you guys have fun and post lots of pics!

    • Tiffany says: December 8, 2014 at 2:40 pm

I swear, the snowflake pajamas were snow makers, ha!
We had a really great time. I’m sure I’ll do a recap sometime soon. 🙂
