Ah! Today begins week 50 of the year! There is so much to do, but I don’t think I’m going to do any of it. I’m going to enjoy these last few weeks of this year with my wonderful family and friends, relaxing and taking in the spirit of the holidays.
This last week was a pretty special week. Kelli from A Deeper Joy came to Seattle to visit. We had this planned for a few months, but it always seems so far away until it’s here. And I just have to say, we are like twins separated at birth or something; we have so much in common. Except I don’t like cilantro and she doesn’t like horses.
Day 337: Our first meeting! I picked Kelli up from the airport late on Wednesday. It was so surreal to finally be meeting her and we stayed up for a long while chatting.
Day 338: We spent Thursday in Seattle. We walked everywhere, from Pike Place up to the Space Needle, all around downtown and finally met Huebie for drinks before heading home that evening. We spent the rest of the evening drinking wine and playing Cards Against Humanity with Huebie and his bff.
Day 339: Friday, Huebie took the day off and we went to Leavenworth, a little Bavarian town about 2 1/2 hours from Seattle. It’s situated at the base of one of the mountains, so it’s cold and snowy (although not much snow right now). It is one of the best places to visit during the holidays. The town is decorated and all lit up. Little A was all bundled up, attitude and all.
Day 340: Kelli and I went wine tasting on Saturday. I had to take her up to our local wine country during her visit. We had some really great conversation and wine appreciation.
Day 341: I hosted my first essential oils class on Sunday and it was a blast. Kelli is so knowledgeable about oils so it was great to have her there as well. I think everyone had a great time learning about essential oils and making some things to take home.
Day 342: Kelli left on Monday. 🙁 I was so sad to drop her at the airport. But I’m sure it won’t be long until we see each other again.
Day 343: I sat in Little A’s room admiring her tree for a while before her bed time. I have a post coming next week on this tree and the special place it holds in my heart.
Day 344: It was red and green day at Little A’s preschool yesterday. And as usual she picked her outfit. Christmas socks and ballet flats and all. Sometimes she hits the mark and sometimes she wears socks with ballet flats. But she still is just the cutest thing ever in this photo.
I just have to say, Kelli and I have been blogging friends for a while now, but finally getting to meet her was absolutely amazing. She is the sweetest, most down to earth girl. I’m just so happy to call her a friend.

That photo of Little A is awesome – she looks so grown up 🙂
See you soon, friend!!
We had such a blast having you! So much fun to finally meet in person. We don’t get out of town company often so it’s a treat for us to host.
xoxo

Me too Kelly! We had such a great time; even just our time spent talking was awesome.

Thanks Mel. I love having so many wonderful blogging friends.
booo I think it ate my comment again
It didn’t eat your comment, it just thinks they are spam for some reason. So weird!
I adore Kelli and I am loving getting to know you as well girl, you are both so sweet! Aren’t blogging friends turned real life friends the best <3 I need you girls to come to OK and teach me alllll about the oils!
Aw, love getting to know you too Mia! Yes, blogging friends turned real life friends are the best. I consider Kelli one of my best friends now.
I’ve never been to OK; would love it!
Awww, what an awesome week and so many wonderful moments!
I loved seeing these pictures of you and Kelli together. It was kind of mind-blowing!
I’ve heard of Cards Against Humanity. My brother-in-law keeps on saying we need to play it but he said to “beware you lose a tiny bit of your soul when you play it.”
Oh my goodness Little A is just *sigh* so big… and sweet!
Thanks for sharing.
xoxo
It really was. It was so weird when I picked her up from the airport, like “you’re really here!”
Your BIL is right. Their slogan is “a party game for horrible people.” It is so funny though.
Hope you’re having a good Thursday Jennifer!
xoxo
Looks like you guys had so much fun, and I love love love that this friendship all started through blogging!! How awesome! Little A looked adorable in all her photos, as usual. Can’t wait to read the special meaning of that tree 🙂
We did have a great time. Some of the best ladies I know I met through blogging. You included my dear. 🙂
Excited for next week’s post!
You had quite a fun week! Hope you have a great weekend as well! 🙂
We did. Thanks Jenny! You too!
What a fun week! I’m amazed by all of the fun that you and Kelli were able to pack in during her visit! Little A looks darling in those boots too. 🙂 And, way to go on hosting your first Young Living Intro Class! It’s incredible to be able to share the positive impact that these oils have on our lives, isn’t it? Happy Friday!!
P.S. Your blog design looks incredible!!!
We really did do a ton while Kelli was here. And we even had some down time, surprisingly. 🙂
Thanks Jen! You have been so helpful and I’ve learned so much. I love sharing how the oils have changed our lives and the lives of others.
So many bloggers are meeting in person! I need to get with the program. I was about to type I’ve never met a blogger in person, but I just thought of one blogger that I didn’t know who lived right here but we also don’t keep in contact via blogs, but she sells essential oils and we are Facebook friends and we have met once. Our meeting was brief. She’s a bit older than me so not sure how much we would have in common. I’m sure I will probably meet more of you ladies though. I just wrote a Facebook status about how I want a glass of red wine when this baby comes. I keep seeing and hearing about it and I want a glass now!
HAHA! You’ll get that glass in no time lady! You’re so close!
And yes, we had a really good time getting together. It is so fun to meet other bloggers in person. You already feel like you know them, even though you’ve never met. It’s awesome.
