The Number One Reason Why You Need to Make Your Health a Priority

September 21, 2017

If you’re a long time reader, first off, thank you!  And second, you’d maybe remember the post I did a while ago (like 2 1/2 years ago) about excuses (if not, it’s linked here for your reading pleasure).

I don’t like excuses.  Especially when it comes to health and fitness.  I miss workouts every now and then and don’t beat myself up about it too bad.  And I’m fine with the occasional splurge.  Heck, I love me a greasy spoon burger every so often.  Or some ice cream.  And macarons are my weakness!  But if you’re making every meal a splurge, then you aren’t treating your body well.  And if you aren’t exercising on top of that….well….your body may be very unhappy with you.

So why do we need to make your health a priority?

Because we only have one body.  We need to take care of it as best we can!

I hear it from people a lot.  “I’ll just start again on Monday.  I’m waiting until the new year and I’m going to hit it hard.  I fell off the wagon so I’m going to wait until next month to start over.”

NO!  What are you waiting for?!  You’re just giving yourself an out to continue to make poor health choices.  There’s no reason for you to wait until next week, next month or next year!  Tomorrow is a new day so why wait?!

As humans, it’s in our nature to avoid pain.  And so many times those pain points, or excuses, revolve around health, fitness and wellness.  People convince themselves they will basically die without their bread or their pasta or their sugar filled coffee.  They convince themselves it’s too hard to get healthy, so they just don’t do it.

But I’m here to show you that it really isn’t that hard!  It takes a little time, commitment, and the desire to want to be healthy.

That’s why I created the 7 Days to a Healthier You e-course!

For those of us who need a little kick in the pants to start (or re-start) our health and fitness journey, this program is for you.  You can start the program any day, any time, no excuses.

This course was designed primarily with moms in mind, but can be applied to anyone.  In this FREE course, you’ll get nutrition tips, workouts each day, tips for how to be successful and stick with your nutrition and fitness goals, meal prep ideas and more!

It’s easy to sign up, just click HERE to be taken to the program page where you can learn more and sign up.  Your first email will come to your inbox the same day!

I would love everyone who is struggling with balance and finding time to take care of themselves to join me on this journey!  Like I said before, we only have one body.  Let’s take good care of it!

I also don’t get the “I’ll start again next week, month, year” mindset. If I have a cheeseburger for dinner, I’m eating healthy (and likely vegetarian) for the next several days, and not missing a workout! It’s called balance, and the pendulum doesn’t swing that hard. Keep it in the middle as best you can and you’ll maintain a healthy weight and healthy body – and also be a healthier person!

I totally agree! Though I’ve definitely said some of those things before. I do think stress if a legitimate reason, but not an excuse. Being healthy helps with stress! Signed up and excited!
