Our weekend in Carmel & Monterey

June 1, 2015

Happy June 1st friends!  We are just back from a long weekend in Carmel-by-the-sea and Monterey celebrating our 5 year anniversary that was earlier in May!  I can’t wait to share all the details with you guys because we had an awesome time!  We did a ton and saw a ton and ate a ton.  And let’s just be honest, drank a ton as well.  Lots to recap so I’ll probably break it down into either day by day posts or categories (food, to do, must see, etc.).

I’m still going through all the pictures we took so for now I’ll share just a few with you.

First day on Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey.

Pebble Beach

The weather was lacking to say the least.  We left 80 degrees here in Seattle, only to arrive to 60 degrees and dreary in Monterey County.  We got a little sunshine on Friday and Saturday afternoons, but other than that it was overcast, drizzly and foggy.  We were told they hadn’t seen sunshine in 3 weeks!

I’ll be back tomorrow with more on our trip!  Hope you have a great Monday!

Ahhhh, I can’t wait to hear about it! And you know what – we’ve gone in August before and had the heat cranked in our convertible and worn multiple layers. I don’t think that part of Cali ever really warms up! But it’s a welcome change from the heat that is Texas 🙂

It was a great time and I really do love that area. Bummer on the weather, but it’s to be expected there I suppose. 🙂
