Oh you guys. I honestly don’t even know what to say about this weekend. While most of the weekend was just routine, yesterday was absolutely amazing. If you live under a rock and don’t know, my Seahawks are going to the Super Bowl. I am just….speechless. It’s been 10 years since a team has had back to back trips to the Super Bowl. We’re playing the Patriots, so it’s going to be a good game.
But onto the weekend.
On Friday, this little sweet tart and I had a park date. It was in the 50s! We had such weird weather this weekend, from sun and warmth, to cold and sideways rain. But on this day, we enjoyed the warm weather and had some play time before daddy got home from work. And she insisted on wearing her cowboy boots.
We did some grocery shopping and got stocked up for the next 2 weeks.
On Saturday I met a friend for coffee to chat about essential oils (if you missed my post from Friday on essential oils for weight loss be sure to check it out), then came home and started our next organizing project: the office. And when I say “started,” I mean we worked, both of us, for 2 hours and still aren’t done. I think we could spend another 2 or so hours and maybe be close. I will share before and after photos of all our projects with you over the next month or so.
Then after nap Little A and I did some sticker art. She was so proud of her glitter sticker card. She couldn’t wait to show Grandpa Rick (my dad).
We also went to a baby shower for one of Huebie’s co-workers. Little A had a great time playing with some other little girls. Sorry, no photos. #badblogger
And then Sunday.
The day started out a bit rough. Huebie got up at 4:30 to head to the stadium, and was there before 6:00 AM to secure our tailgating spot. What a trooper! My dad came over around 8:00 to watch Little A, and I took off to the light rail station to take the rail in. Oh my LORD was it packed. I was sweating and it was crowded and just….ew. Needless to say, I’ll never do that again. But I got to our tailgate just in time for it to start pouring. Phew!
I also got the opportunity to meet this pretty lady. Jenny blogs over at Our Busy Little Life and her family are huge Hawks fans too! They live in Montana and made the trek over for the game. It was so great to meet her and just visit for a bit. She is just the sweetest and even though it was a quick visit, it’s always fun to meet bloggers in real life.
And then the game. I don’t even have words. It started off rough and let’s be honest, most of the game was not so great, until the 4th quarter. We scored a touchdown, did an onside kick and recovered, then scored another touchdown and got a 2 point conversion! All in the last 4 minutes of the game! After the first 4th quarter touchdown I was pretty excited. But then after the second touchdown I was shaking. It was INSANE in the stadium! Green Bay came back to tie and we went into OT where we won the coin toss and scored a touchdown. Game over and we’re going to Super Bowl 49!!!!!
I remember at one point during the 4th quarter looking up at God and saying “Thank you.” It was just…..amazing. We were at last year’s NFC Championship game but this year was different. I cried. Oh yes. I cried. I’ve been a Seahawks fan my whole life and having them go to the Super Bowl two years in a row is amazing. I am so proud to be a Hawks fan. I just love my team.
Luckily we already had our flights booked for the big game. We’re flying to San Diego and driving over to Phoenix. Flights direct to Phoenix are insane right now so I’m glad we planned ahead. Now, finding tickets is going to be the challenge. We weren’t drawn in the lottery so fingers crossed we are able to find tickets for a semi-reasonable price. So far the cheapest I’m seeing are over $2000……… #nothankyou.
How was everyone else’s weekend?!
seriously crazy game! I was thinking about you and realized I couldn’t even text you a ton of crazy emoticons!!! So awesome though – love that you got to meet a blog friend too!!! xoxo
It was an amazing day all around. The sun came out toward the end of the game and I knew God was shining down on our team. It was just so awesome. 🙂
Mine was literally exactly the same! Weird! 🙂 I love you 🙂
Bahaha…Huebie :-p
Man, y’all are hardcore! I love it! I was rooting for the Seahawks and I knew you were super thrilled! And I’m glad you got to meet Jenny! I can’t believe y’all are going to the Superbowl again….good luck finding tickets!!
Little A in her cowboy boots…so cute!
Sounds like a wonderful weekend! Congrats on back to back superbowls! 🙂 We’ve had several warm days here as well and it is wonderful! Makes me SO excited for spring!
I hope we are still going to be friend on Feb 2nd – depending on the outcome lol!! I am so jealous that you’re going to be in Arizona for the game, that is amazing! Even if you don’t get tickets!! Happy Monday girl! xo, Biana – BlovedBoston
Wow, you guys had a really busy weekend!!! Love that first pic of A. So sweet!
I still can’t get over how the game ended. So awesome!!! I didn’t see it coming at all, and the only part that really, REALLY sucks, is that we left when we had just under 4 minutes left!!! Eeeek!!! I know… 🙁
They had played awful all day, we figured they’d lost the game for sure since they still needed a couple of touchdowns with under 4 minutes to go, and they had been playing terrible all day. We thought we should try and beat the crowds and traffic so we could go pick up Emma! Big mistake!!! We underestimated our boys… I don’t know what we were thinking. So excited they pulled it off, just ticked we left when we shouldn’t have. We’ve been hanging our heads in shame and are just speechless. We will be using lots of essential oils for the stress and stomach aches we’ve brought upon ourselves!!! Can’t believe we freaking missed it! 🙁
Wow! That does sound like an amazing weekend!
So many productive, fun, and exciting things.
I hope you get those tickets– how awesome. I’m not a big sports fan but I want it… for you!
Wishing you a lovely day.
xoxo
What an awesome game to be at! I definitely thought of you guys when they won! I hope you guys can get a good deal for the tickets, sooo amazing to go two years in a row!
I’m not a football fan but I appreciate the passion that the fans have. How cool that you got to see the game! Hope you’re able to score tickets to the Super Bowl. A couple good friends of mine swear by essential oils.
Great pics Tiffany!! And like I said on Instagram = I was / am soooo happy for you regarding the football game. Playoffs – Wow! YOUR TEAM WON!! Big YAY!! 🙂 Any luck with tickets yet?
