I know there are still a few days left in March, but it’s a busy week with EJ’s first birthday on Thursday! I’m doing all the things this week to get ready for it. AND, Kellen comes home for a few days on Wednesday night! It has been a long three weeks and we are all so excited to see him!
March didn’t fly by quite as quickly as most months seem to. At the beginning of the month I had all these grand plans, but have had to check myself and re-prioritize. I also want to take a minute to say thank you to everyone for your sweet comments on Thursday’s post. We had a really great weekend and I’m looking forward to the weeks to come.
Onto the goals!
Here’s how March went down.
Plan EJ’s birthday // Success! My baby is turning one on Thursday! I still can’t believe it. His party is on Saturday and I can’t wait to share photos!
Implement e-course strategies // Somewhat successful. I updated 1 or 2 old posts with some information, and definitely consider the strategies when I share new posts, but I’ve fallen behind on my courses. And I’m totally okay with that. They aren’t going away so I can complete them at any time.
Celebrate Kellen’s birthday // Success! We went to Costco (his favorite store), ate off St. Patty’s Day plates and used St. Patty’s Day napkins. We were really hoping he could have come home, but it was spring break in the mid-west and flights were full.
Schedule 1 essential oils class // Success! I’m hosting a virtual essential oils class on April 6th! If you’ve wanted to learn about essential oils and are interested in attending let me know and I will add you via email.
Take the kids to the library // Success! We went to the library only once this month, but we were able to read the 8 books we got each week. I love how much Little A is enjoying reading these days. She is an amazing reader!
Here is what’s happening in April!
Spend individual time with each kiddo // With Kellen gone I’m spread really thin, which means each kid doesn’t get much individualized attention. EJ gets time to himself when A is at school, and A gets time when EJ goes to bed, but it’s not always what I want it to be. This month I want to better utilize that time with them and be extra intentional.
Get outside // We had a wet March and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that April will bring more sunshine so we can go on walks in the evenings and go to the park. I just want to be outside after being cooped up in the house most of the month.
Plan some fun adventures for the summer // We will be spending part of our summer in Wichita, so I want to plan some fun things for us to do there! Kellen has a lot of time to explore right now, so I’m hoping he will have a list of things for us to do in the mornings and evenings. I’ve been advised to just plan to be inside during the daytime because it gets super hot and muggy.
Get up early // So for the last 6 months I’ve been sleeping in until EJ wakes up…most days. Mainly because he hasn’t been sleeping very well and I’m exhausted. But that all changes this month with sleep and me getting some time for myself in the mornings. This is mainly because I need more time to workout, so I’m hoping if I set an alarm I’ll get up and workout before baby wakes up. Fingers crossed!
Plant flowers // I won’t be doing a vegetable garden this year since we’ll be in Wichita, but I still want us to plan flowers to enjoy throughout the spring and summer.
April is going to be a month of focus on my family, so I don’t have many business goals. Family first, health second, business third. I have to make sure the needs of the first two are being met before I can feel good about bringing back any business goals.
What is one goal you have for April?
Great goals Tiffany!
I love how you mentioned family first, health second, and business third. I’m eager to get back to my health goals. I put on that weight I lost and I’m in a bit of a funk over that. Hopefully I can shed it again.
It looks like you’re in as much of a spring/summer mood as I am! I’m also planning summer fun and garden stuff!
Thanks for sharing. I hope April is AMAZING for you!
xoxo
Yay! Seems like March was actually really good for you. I love that you’re looking to spend one-on-one time with A and EJ. They will truly appreciate that when they’re older. My goal for April is just to get through it. I have a really busy May and June and just need to trudge along! x
I think your goals are great! I love that family is first 🙂 I’m looking forward to your essential oils class! And I can’t wait to see pics of EJ’s party. I can’t believe he’s one either!
Great roundup of your goals for the month. So glad Kellen is able to come home for a few days for EJ’s birthday- I’m sure you guys are going to have the best time. I’ve loved all the snippets of the things for his party & can’t wait to see it all come together!
I am all about your April goals – get outside, spend time with your kids, and plant flowers! YAY!
Girl, I still can’t bring myself to get up early on the days Kirk is in town and available to help out! I sleep until the last possible minute. I wish I were a morning person… But nope. Never.
Great job with your March goals! And your April ones sound very doable, too! You’ve got this!! And hooray for flowers!
I hear ya on the getting up early. Unlike my first kid, Miriam has never been a good sleeper. She’ll be one in about 10 days and is just starting to be better. I miss getting up and having time to myself before the kids wake up. I loved that when I had just the one kid. That was my time and I was a far happier person when I got it. I’m hoping the better sleeping continues so I can start waking up before both kids.
