A few days away playing in the snow is what my hea A few days away playing in the snow is what my heart needed after a few stressful weeks. ❄️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Three things I do every morning to start my day and keep my mind right.
1️⃣ Get up at least 30 minutes before my kids.
2️⃣ Write in my gratitude journal. (Hoping not to miss a single day this year.)
3️⃣ Take my “stress stopper” supplement.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Mornings are typically my time to get work done and have some quiet before we jump into our day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you have a morning routine?
Thankful for these three, this life we’ve create Thankful for these three, this life we’ve created, and every day I get to be on this Earth. The last year and a half of travel has brought some hard times, but also some of the most amazing times. And for that I’m truly grateful. Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃
Guess who’s back. Back again. 🎵 Oh hey friend Guess who’s back. Back again. 🎵 Oh hey friend! Been a hot minute since I’ve been on social. I have so much to share, but figured I’d start with why I decided to take a social media break.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In all honesty, I was stressed out with keeping up with work and felt like I wasn’t being a good wife and mom, and all of Audrey’s PANS stuff was so overwhelming. Plus all the BS going on in the world and how divided people have been. I just needed a break.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While some of that has improved, we are still in the thick of being PANS parents and the hell that that is right now. 😩 But I figured a new month was as good a time as any to get back on, so here I am! I’m sharing some more life and house updates in my stories as well. ❤️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What’s new with you? Tell me something good in the comments? 👇🏻
I debated for awhile whether I’d share our sweet I debated for awhile whether I’d share our sweet girl’s story, but if it can help one family, it’s worth it. ❤️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Audrey was diagnosed with pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome (PANS) this fall. Before last summer I had never heard of PANS or PANDA. One of the blessings of traveling is meeting new families; one of which had a daughter Audrey’s age with PANDA.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When my friend described what her daughter had been through, I started crying. She was describing Audrey. Extreme anxiety (especially separation), rage, tics, irritability, issues with food, sensory issues, regressions, night terrors. I had no idea all these things could be linked.
After years of thinking we were terrible parents there was some hope that maybe there was more behind what was going on. 😭
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We started treatment in September for walking pneumonia (no clue she had it, and no idea how long) and her other PANS symptoms, and saw improvement for about 2 weeks, but it’s gotten worse since. We see a different doc next week and I pray they can find a remedy that will help us get our little girl back. Until then we just take it one minute at a time, because that’s what you do with these kids.
