Favorite Decorating Graphics

May 20, 2015

Since moving into our house 3 1/2 years ago, we’ve made some minor improvements, like painting and updating our dining room.  We’ve also done some major renovations, including our kitchen renovation.

But some of the changes that have had the most impact have been small, more decorative changes. Even little changes like adding a rug under a dining room table can completely transform a space.

I love decorating graphics and wanted to share a few of my favorite with you!  I hope you find some inspiration in these!

This painting cheat sheet from Pepper Design Blog is probably my favorite guide to reference.  I never remember if I’m supposed to use semi-gloss or gloss for trim work.

Choosing the right size area rug for dining rooms is easy with this guide from Decor Mentor.

Have a lot of pillows on your bed but don’t know how to place them?  Marissa Waddell’s arrangement guide gives you all you need to know.

Choosing a gallery wall layout always takes me forever!  This guide from Interiors PL gives some really great options.

Another great graphic from Interiors PL on hanging art above a sofa.

I hope you find this post helpful for your next project.

Do you have any favorite guides you use for decorating?

These are all really great tips! Pinned for when I’m decorating a house someday! I so agree with the rug tip…they can really change the look of a room.

We’re in the process of making slow changes to revamp and brighten our living room, I get so overwhelmed! These help, especially the hanging art above the sofa one 🙂

Love the gallery wall help! I am so bad at arranging photos! Even on my desk at work they look so random! Love this!

These are some great cheat sheets – especially the rug one because I’m trying to decide if we get a rug in the dining room or not. The table seats 8 but the room is so much larger than the table (there’s other stuff in there) that we may need to go even bigger! And lawd, that gets expensive quickly :/

My guides, whoever will tolerate me asking them their opinion.I still haven’t furnished above my sofa after getting a new sectional. It is a wide wall and for the life of me and hours of shopping, I can’t decide on what to put there.

I struggle with what to hang on walls too Michelle. I always worry I’m going to invest in pieces or a lot of frames and hate it, haha!

I’ve used the gallery wall one already but am super excited to find the pillow one you shared here! I must confess, I have TONS of pillows on our master bed. 🙂
