You guys! Did everyone have a fantastic weekend?! We did, even though it was so crazy busy.
I told you guys on Friday that we were heading to the fair. It was the perfect day to visit! Not too hot, not too crowded, those are my favorite days.
If you follow me on Instagram (which if course I’d love you to!) you would have seen this little ditty. I mean how cute is she?! I was sure she was going to start crying when she first got on but nope. She grabbed those reigns like she knew exactly what to do. I love her. I had horses growing up and keep trying to convince Huebie that she needs one. After this, I think he’s finally accepting his fate as a horse owner. #winning!
We walked around looking for other rides Baby A could go on, but she was too short for everything except the carousel, so her and I took a spin on that (more horses, yay!)
They had this at the fair this year:
Gross. And people were actually buying it! Have you guys ever had deep fried butter?! It makes me nauseous just thinking about it.
But these little guys…..
Are the best! If you haven’t had a Fisher Scone you need to get your hands on one any way you can. Quickly. They are so yummy, and come out warm and the jam is perfect. MMMM……(sorry, started day dreaming about scones there for a sec). But you can actually buy the scone mix at the store. Haven’t ever tried it myself, but I’m sure they would be great. Just add a little raspberry jam and you’re set!
So….my friends that read my blog know that I was a Daffodil Princess in high school. Oh yes, I was. It’s a festival in the county I grew up in. There are princesses from 24 of the neighboring high schools and we do all sorts of charity events, parades, meet and greets, library story times, etc. It’s a great community festival that has been around for over 80 years. This year at the fair they had a display in the hobby lobby celebrating the Daffodil Festival.
They had dresses from years past, photos, memorabilia, etc.
The tiara right of the daffodil crown was mine. They have changed a few times over the years, but you are usually able to tell a Daffodil Festival crown and tiara. It was great to see all the history of the festival and see how far it’s come, but weird at the same time to walk in and see yourself.
Huebie took Baby A home, and I met a girlfriend to see Carrie!
We were in the 6th ROW! 6th! It was awesome and she was fabulous as usual! It was so nice to have some girl time and see a great show.
Saturday was a full day. Little Gym in the morning, brunch with some girlfriends, a 1st birthday party then a housewarming party. Phew! We were gone from 8:15 that morning until around 7:30 that night. It was jam packed but a super fun day.
We do our long runs on Saturday’s for our 1/2 marathon training, so we rushed home to get our run in as quickly as we could.
Baby A was such a trooper! We got her jammies on, dinner cooked and a movie on the tablet so she would be entertained for the whole run. She was great! Love that little face (the thumb is a new thing…..we’ll see how long it takes to break that one…)
Sunday. Oh Sunday.
All I have to say is GO HAWKS! 29-3 over the 49ers! We killed it! And broke the world record for loudest stadium. And let me tell ya, it was loud. Like deafeningly loud. I was so glad we had ear plugs.
We also had a game delay due to lightning in the area. Luckily our seats are just undercover, so we stayed put instead of fighting the crowds in the concourse. It was an awesome night and although there were way too many penalties as usual, it was a great game to be part of. And just once more for good measure….GO HAWKS!!!!
How was your weekend? Anything fun and exciting happen?
Wow! That sounds like a fun filled weekend! I love going to the fair… and, it’s so much more fun when you have a little one to share it with, isn’t it?! Great pics! 🙂

Have a great week!

Fried butter! Oh my goodness. I don’t know if I would have believed it. That’s so gross, lol! I saw Carrie once a few years ago, she was with Keith Urban. She was great and he is of course just adorable. Seahawks, really, you should be a Steeler fan. 😉
It really was gross, even just to look at. I’ve seen Keith Urban too. Actually at the same fair about 8 years ago. He is awesome.
Ohhhh…you Steeler’s fans….we can’t even go there. 😉
XOXO,
~Tiffany
Wow! What an amazing, full, weekend!
Deep fried butter?! What? Heart attack fried in heart attack? Gross.
Beautiful pictures. I love seeing you in the photos… I get to catch a glimpse of my blogging friend.
Wishing you a wonderful day.
xoxo
I know right?! I thought the same thing about the butter Jennifer! Ew, just gross…chills right now thinking about it again.
You are too sweet. I don’t get in pics too often so it’s a rarity 🙂
Have a great weekend!
