Fabulous Friday

March 7, 2014

Even though this was a short week for us, it felt like a 6 day week.  Especially with Huebie gone again.  But today’s Friday and I couldn’t be happier!

I’ve been thinking about getting my hair cut (yes, it takes a lot of thought.  I don’t like hair change.).  I always go back and forth on what I want to do.  I used to have VERY long hair growing up (like to my bum long), all the way through high school and the first part of college.  And once I cut it the end of my freshman year, I hadn’t had it long again until last summer.  I wanted to grow my hair and bangs out last year just to see if I would like it.  And I do!  I really like it long.  But I think I’m ready for a change.  I can never go too short; I have to be able to put it up in a ponytail, but maybe a long bob or just below the shoulders?  Or keep it long and bring the bangs back?  We’ll see.  It takes me about 3 or 4 months to make a decision so maybe by summer I’ll be ready to cut it.  ðŸ™‚
You can check out my Beauty & Fashion Pinterest board to see some of my ideas.

I’m working on a “Day in the Life” post that will (hopefully) be up next week.  Baby girl and I headed to Target as part of our day and I found some great new shirts.  It’s been a while since I’ve picked up any clothes from Target and I was pleasantly surprised.

I love this boyfriend cardigan.  It’s long and fits well.  I got it in the black, but may order it in the coral.  They didn’t have it in the store.

Have you guys heard of Stitch Fix?

Maybe I’m behind the ball but a girlfriend at work mentioned it to me the other day and then I saw it on another blog yesterday.  I’m curious if any of you have tried it.
If you don’t know what it is, it’s sort of like an online personal shopper.  You create a profile and Stitch Fix will send you 5 items based on your style profile.  If you don’t like them, you send them back.  You keep what you like and the $20 styling fee goes toward the cost of your order.  And if you keep all 5 items you get 25% off. Pretty cool.  I can imagine this would be especially nice for guys who typically don’t like to shop.

My hubby picked up the latest issue of Clean Eating on his latest trip.

We’re really trying to get focuses on our eating again.  With him traveling so much (still), it’s been difficult to put our focus on that.  He has 2 more trips coming up in April, so I’m hoping between now and then we can get on track and stick with a plan.  I may start posting meals to help keep us accountable.

Sarah Jessica Parker has a new collection at Nordstrom that just came out this week.

While I can’t really afford anything in the line, the shoes are gorgeous.  A girl I went to high school with works at Nordstrom, and SJP was at the flagship store (in downtown Seattle) Wednesday and she said SJP was very sweet and appreciative of her fans.  I knew I liked Carrie.  ðŸ™‚

I just got the Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred.

I’m super stoked to have something different to follow at home.  I really don’t get to the gym as much as I’d like to due to the hubby’s constant travel.  And I’ve really been lacking motivation lately.  I’ve heard great things about Jillian’s videos so I’m hoping they live up to the hype.

I’m hoping the hubby and I can have a date night this weekend.  We need some one on one time.  Other than that no big plans, which makes me so happy!

Have a great weekend y’all!

I’ve got The Shred. I think you will find it easier than me because you have been running and going to the gym and are fitter. I have been walking for an hour a day for the past four years, but it’s not enough and I want to get fit again, hence the shred. It is doable because you know in 20 minutes you’re done so it helps if you can’t go to the gym, like me.

Love that cardigan. My hair is probably halfway down my back and I have been thinking about having it cut to shoulder-length. Trouble is, I get bored so fast! : /

    Have a great weekend! x

I was thinking of you when I got it! 🙂 I’m sure it will be just as hard for me to do. Jillian likes to kick some serious booty!

I think you should cut it too!

Love the boyfriend cardigan and I can’t wait to read your day in the life post.
